The Socialists’ Plan to Confiscate Americans’ Guns – This is how they will sell it!

It’s hard to find a place to start in explaining the devious plan of America’s Leftist Statist Tyrannical Political Leadership.  I can tell where this plan ends though — confiscation of firearms.

Let us examine the psychological ruse that they have already begun to engage the people with and also what they plan to do.  The machine they use is propaganda on the general public in order that they provide the political pressure necessary to acquire the votes necessary to pass a law (an unconstitutional law) to strip us of our guns and violate our privacy.

The first 3 of these 5 parts of the propaganda machine are already in full operation.  The 4th is ramping up, and the 5th will be begining operation in January (if not this weekend).

1.  Appeal to Emotion – “we must do this for the innocent children”

It has been plastered everywhere on the web, news shows, editorial newspaper columns, letters to the editor, and on and on and on.  “Enough Dead Children From Gun Violence”.

They’ll lead with statistics about the horrors of American gun ownership and how it is responsible for the deaths of children: “Every day eight kids under 20-years-old die from gun violence in America. That’s 56 kids a week, 340 kids a month and over 3,000 kids every year. In fact you could fill Fenway Park three times over with the 110,000 children killed by guns in the U.S. over the past 30 years!”.

Then they’ll stick up some photos displaying the emotional anguish of the friends and family of those that are killed.

Heck, they’ll even display photos showing how innocous the killer was.  Just some kid next door, just like any other.  They’ll push the storyline that the only difference between him and any other was the fact that he had access to guns.  Nevermind that a crazy person (especially a very smart crazy person) can find other ways to commit horrible atrocities.

As Piers Morgan preached from his holier-than-thou British soapbox on CNN (Communist News Network):  “How many more kids have to die…?”

2.  Appeal to Sensibility – “what reason does anyone have for an assault weapon?”

The first part of this is to put out statistics from other countries that have instituted strict gun control and then compare those same stats to America.  [http://www.huffingtonpost.com/geoffrey-r-stone/gun-crazy_b_2334881.html]  “The firearm homicide rate in the United States is 3.7 for every 100,000 people.

The average firearm homicide rate for Australia, Canada, England, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand and Spain is .22 per 100,000 people.”

Nevermind the fact that the trott out these numbers while paying no attention to the homicide and violent crame rates prior to the ban — and that the rates being compared are specifically gun homicides and not ALL homicides.  America has ALWAYS been more violent than those other countries — with or without a ban on either side of the pond.  Taking away guns will not has HAS NOT changed that.  In fact, history shows that it only makes it worse.

UK murder rates since 1946 (ban was in 97): http://www.murderuk.com/misc_crime_stats.html and http://webarchive.nationalarchives.gov.uk/20110218135832/http://rds.homeoffice.gov.uk/rds/pdfs10/hosb0110.pdf
US murder rates since 1960 (AWB was 94-04): http://www.disastercenter.com/crime/uscrime.htm
89% increase in violent crime in UK since gun ban: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1223193/Culture-violence-Gun-crime-goes-89-decade.html

But, back to the “appeal to sensibility”.  The question is often now posited in such a way that to own or desire to own an assault gun is clearly not necessary nor logical.  It makes no sense according to them, and the way the question is asked is meant for everyone else to come to that same conclusion.  Nevermind the fact that they conveniently leave out the definition of “assault gun”, but we can clearly see from Diane Feinstein’s proposed legislation that also includes hand guns and not just “evil semi-automatic” rifles.

An additional descriptor that I see used is that these “assault guns” are “weapons of mass destruction” and “weapons of mass death”.  This is done solely to drive home the idea that noone could possibly have any reason to own one since they are now equivalent in psychological meaning to a dirty-bomb or a nerve-agent.

3.  Negatively/Falsely Characterize Opposition

The intent here is to demonize anyone who opposes them in their efforts.  If you can portray them as insane: “Of course it may just be that Americans are 17 times crazier than Canadians, Germans, Italians, Australians, etc. Just ask the NRA. They’ll tell you that’s the explanation. And it is. But the crazies are those who support the NRA and who systematically distort the facts, ultimately contributing to the bloody deaths of thousands upon thousands of innocent men, women and children every year.”, then your job is done.

There is also the prolific reference to the wild west (which was actually only wild in the movies): “So many Americans live in a fantasy world that keeps them locked in forever as cowboys in the Wild West anticipating their run at the OK Corral.”

According to the propaganda machine, to oppose them means that you are one or more of the following:
a. Insane
b. An NRA shill
c. Lost in the 18th and 19th Centuries

4.  Appeal to Inclusiveness

Human beings naturally want to be a part of society.  It’s why we wave to strangers, have friends, and go to social outings.  This appeal towards that need to be included is beginning to ramp up.  You’ll begin to see this in the news media more and more.  “Join us as we step into a more peaceful and prosperous future.”.  This will be the general meme, but it will be said many different ways.

5.  Hide and Lie About the Details

As Nancy Pelosi famously said about the Obamacare legislation, “we have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it”.  This piece of the propaganda machine is the easiest for them to employ.  They’ll use vague language and dodge questions.  They’ll use all 4 of the above attacks to confuse and deflect.  It won’t be a ban on guns, just a ban on “assault weapons”.  The legislation will nebulously define that, and it will even say it includes handguns.  But every time they are asked about it or talking about, they will use the words “assault weapon” or “guns with rapid rate of fire” or “militaristic” or they come up with some brand new “catch phrase”.  This is meant to divert attention away from the fact that a vast majority of hand-guns are semi-automatic and will fall into the “assault weapon” category.  I wouldn’t be all to surprised if they word the legislation in such a way to allow for ATF beauracracy to write the regulations that will finally include even double-action revolvers.

_____________________________________________________________
I don’t know what their end game is.  But once the legislation passes due to the deception of the propaganda machine, they will be able to prevent all sales of any gun that falls into their classification of “assault weapon”.  They will have a list of every gun owner and what guns he/she has.  They will have the ability to leverage a future event to confiscate guns and imprison the constitution loving people of this country.

I, as do many others, see a financial emergency in the not too distant future.  Our path is unsustainable.  Could that be the “event”?  Or will it be some other event like an oil embargo or oil supplies being hindered by a war in the Middle East?  Could it be some other type of black swan event, such as an outbreak of a virulent and highly communicable disease?  Any event would necessarily lead to civil unrest.  And that civil unrest will be the catalyst for confiscation and imprisonment.
